Following the death of her sister by suicide, DrC's journey into Art led her to delve into intense forms of expression of grief through physical and emotional pain.

DrC might use a couple of aliases for the different styles of Performance Art she experiments or engages with but her main Artist name is CARU.

Marina Abramović: Retrospective

Marina Abramović: Gates and Portals
(24 September to 5 March 2023)
"Gates and Portals explores transitional states of being, with each visitor participating as a performer with a small group of others. During the exhibition visitors will encounter gates and portals that prompt contemplation of bodily awareness and elevated consciousness."

This durational experiential immersive multisensory performative installation was CARU's final piece for her MA in Fine Art. It consisted of a rope installation with giant scented paper magnolia flowers (a reference to Marguerite Duras), in which she performed a 50min. Shibari suspension (total performance 90min., tie by Nik Yourknots).
